Community Outreach — Choice Canning Company

It is always a pleasure to take a break from my daily work and travel into the field.

I had an engaging session with the lovely employees at Choice Canning Company, interacting with them on common vascular conditions affecting the lower limbs.

What struck me most was their level of knowledge and understanding of human biology. My surprise was perhaps more a reflection of my own assumptions rather than on the public's genuine interest in these matters.

From chronic venous disorders to diabetic foot care and general lifestyle advice, many of the questions took my brain back to medical school days and prompted me to refresh memories.

It all ended with a nice cuppa, some one-on-one consultations and a touching, lovely thank you card!

A shoutout to our hospital team for organising and coordinating, and to the audience for their wonderful and enthusiastic participation.
