Malayilparambil Abraham
Dr. Pradip Malayilparambil Abraham is a highly accomplished vascular surgeon with extensive training and international clinical experience. He completed his M.B.B.S at Thanjavur Medical College, followed by an M.S. in General Surgery from Madras Medical College, and later specialized with an M.Ch in Vascular Surgery from Stanley Medical College. He holds prestigious qualifications including MRCS and FRCS in Vascular Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a registered medical practitioner (TCMC Registration No. 41565).
Dr. Abraham has worked across leading institutions in India and the United Kingdom, including King's College Hospital and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, where he served as a Senior Clinical Fellow. He has received multiple academic honors, including gold medals during both his postgraduate and super-specialty training.
Clinical Experience & Expertise
He has comprehensive expertise across the full spectrum of vascular surgery, including advanced open and endovascular procedures. His work encompasses AV fistula creation and salvage, complex dialysis access, central and peripheral vascular interventions, and aneurysm management including EVAR and TEVAR. He is experienced in managing diabetic foot conditions, chronic venous disease, varicose veins using minimally invasive techniques, and acute vascular emergencies such as limb ischemia and deep vein thrombosis. His practice also includes carotid interventions for stroke prevention, vascular trauma care, and the management of congenital vascular malformations.
In addition, Dr. Abraham is actively involved in multidisciplinary care, contributing to renal transplant programs, complex oncological resections, and collaborative surgical procedures. His clinical approach is complemented by expertise in wound care, limb salvage, and lymphedema management.
An active contributor to academic surgery, he has presented at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals on vascular and general surgical topics. His clinical interests are complemented by a strong commitment to research, education, and advancing surgical practice.
